What's the point of clearing a dead man's name who has no family?

Does his reputation matter after he is in the grave? What's the point of clearing a dead man's name who has no family?
hmm I would assume since they are dead it doesnt really matter to them. What's the point of clearing a dead man's name who has no family?
Yes I think so.

Just because someone has no family or relatives (which barely seems possible) doesn't mean nobody cares about them.

And it's just the right thing to do. He needs someone to stand up for him because he has nobody to do it for him and he can't do it for himself, being dead.
There is.why? because his name is a representation of what he is in this

world, who he is and what he do(his whole personality) and even he is dead and have no family. I think that there are people who still remember him in his/her heart perhaps a friend or others.
A justice system that's willing to admit its mistakes is nice, even if no one directly benefits.
The names of the deceased must be cleared from government records, for tax purposes at least.
If you are clearing a name, by default the blame goes where it rightfully belongs
Not to him, but maybe to others. Does it bother you to learn false history?
his or hers legacy lives on forever
I guess it's because we would want the same done for us if we were in his situation.
