Thanks,

best answer gets 10 points.A question for people with clear skin? 12 POINTS?
I had acne from 7th grade until just a couple yrs ago, I am 26 now. The ONLY thing that worked for me and took my acne away permanately is apple cider vinegar. It is the absolute best facial astringent I have ever used. You can't really find it in stores unless it is for cooking, and that is different...you don't want to use that. You want to get raw, organic apple cider vinegar with ';mother';. You can find it online for $2.99 a bottle. And it lasts forever. I bet if you show your parents my typed answer they may just buy a bottle or two for you with their credit card! LOL! You just use it on a cotton ball every day, I used it about 3 times a day and in two weeks my acne was completely gone. I'm not kidding. There is a local day spa here in my town that uses it on their customers when they come in for their weekly facials....if you'd like I can give you the e-mail addresses for them so you can hear all about their experiences. Apple cider vinegar is a natural antibiotic, loaded with antioxidants. I have done research on it for two years....it is all over the net. I know there are A TON of ';miracle cures'; out there that people swear by. I do realize that. Some work, most are a crock of sh**!! I guarantee you this stuff works, and for the price, you have nothing to lose. It's pretty stinky and if you decide to drink it as well, it's the nastiest crap you have ever tasted in your life....but once you read all about it you won't care, and once you start seeing results you won't care either. I drink it daily because I have numerous health problems and it is freakin awesome for so many things. I originally found out about it because I googled natural or home remedies for dandruff. My hair is so freakin thick that I developed BAD dandruff and with my black hair....yeah that wasn't so fun. Then I realized all of the other benefits that came with it. It COMPLETELY CURES these conditions (if you don't believe me, try it):

Acne, Blackheads, Poison ivy, Certain ';uncurable'; STDs,

Muscle aches/chronic arthritis,Dandruff,Scrapes/cuts/wounds heal way faster, Bad breath, Acid reflux/heartburn, overweight problems, Chronic fatigue, Common cold

All types of flus, Low metabolism,Constipation,Diareahha (or however you spell it) (and it is able to fix both problems because it kind of ';evens your system out'; to where it is supposed to be, so it will help both constipation AND diareaha. Same with if you are too skinny, it will help you be at the weight your body needs to be.) Digestion ,Depression ,PMS and menstral crapms, Menopause, SO SO SO SO much more! So I would suggest getting some, trying it out on your face AND drinking it daily (if it is too nasty for you, there are all kinds of drink recipes online that completely dillutes the taste). Because if you drink it daily, it will balance your hormones out where they need to be. And reading your question up there it looks like most of your acne problem comes from an imbalance of hormones. Acne can be formed from the inside as well...that is why a lot of teenagers, kids who are going through puberty, pregnant women, and women who are going through menopause have skin problems in general, because their hormones are all out of whack during those times. So drinking it daily will help that problem of yours, while applying it to your face as an astringent will keep the bacteria away. Apple cider vinegar is all natural....if you keep using those products such as salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide, they will only cause skin problems in the long run. They cause wrinkles, redness of the face, you could even develop a permanent skin-sensitity problem if you keep using those things that are man-made and full of chemicals. So please, if you don't listen to my advice about this, AT LEAST stop using what you are using and google some ALL-NATURAL remedies for acne. There are certian at-home face masks you can blend up yourself that is made from fruits and vegetables that will not only help your acne but improve your skin condition in general. I know it is much easier to just go to the store and buy something, but if you want a great face that looks younger, without redness and acne scars, and sensitivity issues...go all natural! I would suggest using cetaphil as your facial cleanser. The bar cleanser is pretty cheap and works GREAT! It is very gentle on your skin and it doens't have actual soap in it. It won't clog your pores and will balance out your moisture of your face that it needs. It is the number one dermatologist reccomended facial cleanser. Make sure you read up on which foods that you are eating may cause acne. Some are myths...such as chocolate. There are some foods that actually help get rid of your acne too, like fruits that are loaded with anti-oxidants. Another suggestion... drink A TON of water every day. Filtered bottled water is the healthiest, of course. Drink as much as you can...I drink about a gallon a day. If you can do more...go for it. You would be amazed by by how much your skin will improve by just that alone. Take a multi-vitamin every day. Good for your skin in general, and also works great for balancing your hormones.Soy milk is awesome for balancing out your hormones as well. That is why doctors suggest and even prescribe soy pills to women who are going through menopause. Vanilla and chocolate soy milk doesn't taste that bad. Watch out for the sugar content though. NEVER touch your face unless you absolutely have to. And use mineral makeup instead of foundations that can clog your pores. Even Nutrogena makeup and others that claim they are good for your skin are all loaded with chemicals and crap that can clog your pores. NEVER go without washing your face at night. Especially if you have makeup on. I would suggest just a quick swipe of the apple cider vinegar with a cotton ball every night if you don't have makeup on, it will take the dirt and oil right out of your skin.Do what you can to keep your stress levels down. Excersize, meditate, do yoga...whatever it takes. Stress causes acne!

Well I'm done jabbering for the day.... I'll leave you with some websites to read up on about the apple cider vinegar....please make sure you do!

Consult a dermatologist, and ask him about a treatment and take an appointment with your dermatologist for a facial, and ask him for a daily, weekly, monthly and seasonally routine to take care of your skin.

I`m a 33 old woman, right now I have a flawless skin, but I totally know where are you coming from, and I know how you feel, I`ve been there myself, I was a teenager once and after a long suffering, I woke up one fine day and decided to book an appointment with a famous dermatologist, he gave me a treatment, some sort of pills that I had to take for 9 monthes and the result was definitive and perfect, there`s nothing to think about and I do tell, a beautiful flawless skin starts with a good dermatologist, not some stuff that you can buy from the drug store by the advice of a friend.

Wish you all the best.

Good Luck

Happy New Year.
im 16 and i used to have acne and i hated it. i tried EVERYTHING there was out there - proactive, neutrogena, Retin-A

well pretty much every kind of acne stuff you have heard of....i freakin didnt understand why everyone else had such nice skin and i didnt. no matter how hard i tried.

then it all changed when my mom took me to the dermatologist. they had me try a couple medicines until i found one that worked for me. it cleared my acne completely. it was called acutane and the best part about it was that i only had to take it for 6 months and it will keep me clear for the rest of my life

go to the dermatologist girl. i always thought it was just for those people that have like 400 pimples on their face but it can be for us people with regular acne too!

hope this helped =]
Well actually I used to have HORRIBLE acne it was everywhere since the fifth grade til the 7th grade. I Litterally tried everything but it just wouldnt work My dermatologist even gave me pills and it still didnt work but honestly i think the products were making me have bad acne so i tried sort of a little experiment, i stoped using the soaps and products and just started rinsing my face with water then patting it dry morning when i get home from school and before i go to bed and it worked!! and now people tell me all the time that they wished they had skin like mine when just last year i was being made fun of because of my bad acne, so just try what i said you really have nothing to lose.
i only wash my face once a day, instead of twice, otherwise my skin dries out and that can cause pimples, drinking lots of water helps your skin, also. um, when you sweat, make sure to wipe your face or the sweat will dry in your pores and cause acne, remove all makeup before bed, don't go to bed with product in your hair....it leaves residue on your pillow and that gets on your face

also, washing your face in the shower works really well because the steam opens your pores, so wash right before you get out of the shower, and then splash cold water on your face, which closes up the pores quickly

my routine: i dont wash in the morning, so i do my makeup (but i use mineral foundation and blush) i keep blotting paper in my locker for after P.E. so i can remove any sweat and then my face doesnt look so oily, then before i go to bed, i use makeup remover first and then wash my face and apply moisturizer. thats about it.
I use Garnier Pure 3 in 1 as a wash and scrub alternating everyday and then as a mask once a week, it really gets rid of your dead skin leaving you with really smooth and soft skin.

I always take ALL of my makeup off everynight. I never used to and my breakouts have stopped since i started ensuring that every tiny bit of makeup was off my face.

I use MAC's studio moisture fix lotion as a moisturiser every night before i go to bed but never in the mornings as it's too heavy.

My best tip would be to get a face primer for under your makeup. I use MAC's prep and prime skin base visage myself but there are probably cheaper ones avaliable. It's the best thing i ever bought for my skin and it has completely stopped my breakouts. It works by putting a thin layer, kind of like a film that you can't see or feel over your skin to stop any foundation or whatever getting into your skin and causing spots.

Best of luck.
Acne was nvr really a problem as a teen but as an adult I get a few soo...i wash with jus reg. bar soap like irish spring but i use a scrubby pad (@ walmart nxt 2 the body sea sponges theres large oval 1s %26amp; small round 1s) scrub all the dead skin off if my face feels dry i use clean %26amp; clear face lotion the 1 with benz. peroxide otherwise i dont put anything on my face cause ive noticed if it doesnt feel dry %26amp; i put lotion on it makes me feel oily. I ve also used proactive (my husband uses it) it stoped a couple of tiny pimples right away! i like the proactive lotion the best some malls have vending machines that sell the whole set or jus the individual bottles...good luck!
I used to have a few spots on my face, chest and back,

i tried every cleanser, wash and spot cream you could think of..but u dont relise at the time, your a teenager, and the spots are coming from within-due to your hormones being all messed up, so no spot cream or anything you put on your face will get rid of it properly, they'll always be little blemishes and stuff.

the only way is to see your doctor, my doctor put me on Dianette, (a tinyyy pill i take every morning) i havent had a spot or blemish anywhere since! my skins flawless! i love it!

but im not sure how old you are or where you live so i dont know if you could go to your doctor about this then ive heard the best thing to clear acne is Aspirin! yep the pills! not only does it clear up acne %26amp; blackheads, it gets rid of scars too!

my skincare routine is Garnier Clean %26amp; Soft cleansing milk, toner %26amp; moisturiser, with Liiv Botanicals Eye Cream, and Burts Bees, Nivea Light Kiss or Carmex Lipbalm.
a lot of people with clear skin it's because of genetics. that's why my skin is so clear my mom never got acne until she was in her 30's but i get a pimple probably once every 2 months. but what i usually do in the morning and at night is use a cleanser then a toner then a moisturizer what every products you like experiment till you find one that works for your skin type. but once a week i do home facials. i use a cleanser, then a light scrub, then a mask, toner then moisturizer. to remove the scrub and mask use a damp cloth and after the mask use toner to also remover extra product you may have missed. and pat dry your face don't wipe just because that prevents wrinkles
I'm 19 and I have NO acne whatsoever.

I've had acne because I used to wear makeup, but then stopped..

Both of my sisters have acne. And my parents had it.

I drink nothing but water usually. I may drink skim milk or orange juice. But no soda except for rare occasions.

And all I use is regular face wash or soap. Nothing expensive. Something generic. Sometimes I wash it with sea salt and water to dry my skin because I have oily skin. Make sure you put some lotion on it afterwards(i dont).

If you stop drinking juice your face WILL clear up. Keep your hair out of your face if you put roducts in it. make sure your pillow case and sheets are washed every 2 weeks.
i have tried everything to get clear skin! but they all (including proactiv) dried out my skin. finally i tried the bareminerals line...i use their rawminerals face wash, which makes your skin hydrated, clear, and supersoft! their acne spot treatment, and gel moisturizer. my skin is flawless (minus the occasional time of the month pimple) finally and i love their products! i also use their make up which doesn't clog pores or make acne worse...it actually helps! you can email me if you have any further questions if you want...i know how aggravating acne is! good luck!!
you have to stick with one type of cleaning product.

like clean and clear or neutrogena. and you have to stick with

a constant routine. like wash your face in the morning then at night.

and if you wear makeup always wash it off before you go to bed. and with makeup, wear something with SPF in it. that always helps. and eat healthy. eat foods that have high amount of vitamins. and never use to many cleaning products at once. i would limit myself to only 3 at a time. like i have one that makes my skin look healthy, and moisturizes and pimple stuff.
well first of all don't touch your face. the dirt, oils and bacteria on your hands get into your pores and make you break out. when you have a pimple don't pick at it it will just make it irritated and inflamed causing more redness. just leave it, its not like it will stay there forever. I wash my face everyday in the shower. the steam helps to open pores and allow cleanser to get deep down in there and clean all that crap out. i also use the neutrogena wave. the vibrations really get soap deep into your pores and clean better. and plus it makes your face really smooth. i just use regular soap to clean my face like dove soap. my face also gets really dry so i put on lotion after i get out. i use jergins naturals lotion. oh my gosh and i just tried this stuff last night from berts bees it is this orange essence facial cleanser, it smell so good and it really makes your face soft. it doesnt leave your face to dry or too oily. and i always drink plenty of water. water really helps in cleansing out your insides and flushes all those impurities out of your body. i also eat things high in omega 3 fatty acids. you can find those in foods like avocados or fish. the oils in them maintain the health of your skin and hair.

well i hope some of this was useful to you!!
Consistency in cleaning, toning, and moisturizing daily - morning and evening. Ideally, add weekly masks as well. Don't sleep with your make-up on. Use quality products on your skin. Eat fresh food with lots of fresh veggies and fruits in your diet. Drink lots of water, avoid too much alcohol. Smoking will ruin good skin and give you wrinkles around your mouth. Avoid junk food. And don't forget - get enough sleep. Bottom line - clean living.
i keep mine clear by using a combination of products including zap-zyt, neutragena oil-free moisturizer, which both can be bought at wal-mart. if you wash your face and then moisturize it two times a day, it should work for you and leave clear skin like mine. :) hope this helped!
In the morning i get a clearasil pad and rub on face and neck i do this again to make sure it gets everything. At night i do the same. i also get a mixture of Vaseline and lotion and rub it in my face before i go to bed. hope this helps!
shower daily, clean clothes, wash face in the morning after school/work and before you go to bed. :)

clean sheets on bed, clearasil ultra daily face wash is really good, but see if you can find a natural clenaser with less chemicals, its better for yuu ! :)
I wash my face with neutrogena face wash in the morning when i get up an then in the evening. After ive washed it i use a simple cleansing, moisturising lotion. An if i do eevr get spots i just put a bit of spot cream on it an keep my hands off of it :) Im 15 by the way

I use Oxy Daily Wash. In days your acne will disappear.
I have naturally clear skin but I use Clean and Clear morning burst, except I wash my face in the shower, the steam helps. To get rid of problem spots toothpaste helps as does acne fighting foundation before bed.
i wash my face with aveeno face wash

and i use any anti-aging products to ddry out zits,...

works really good.

=]
i use oxy cleansing pads. I used to have these bumps, not really pimples but just bumps on my forehead, a week after i used oxy, they went away.
LEAVE IT (your skin) ALONE.

No ';Invigorating Foam Cleanser'; or ';Mild Acne Wash'; can stop acne.

Use some soap and get over it.
I use St. Ive's Apricot Scrub every night, and it works great! Sometimes I also use Clinique liquid soap, too.
moisturizer. No matter how oily your skin is, you still need moisturizer.
i really like the neutrogena wave. keeps my face clear of acne. :)

%26amp; it has a cool feeling after!
some people naturally jsut do not get acne

their skin has a normal ph balance...and their oil output is under control..

that simple
go to the dermatologist and request acutain
I don't have any genetic acne. Neither of my parents had it. I wash my face with scrub and sea salt at least once a day.
good genes, salty water, plenty of sunlight and exersize :)
