It depends where the moneyorder is from. If it is an established account it can clear in one business day. Every bank has established policies regarding the instruments deposited.
Money order and cashier's checks are certified funds. Which means a money order is just like cash. To buy a money order the bank requires you to pay in cash or take the money out of your account. You cannot use a credit card to buy a money order.





Therefore, the money order is just the same as cash. As soon as you cash the money order, you do not need to worry. If you deposit a money order, you do not need to worry, the money will never be taken out of your account.
