i've got a big test tomorrow and i don't understand how to clear out fractions

In general you take advantage of the following things:





If you multiply both sides of an equation by the same number, you preserve the equality.





If you multiply anything by one, you have changed nothing. There are many ways of writing one. For example, 75/75 is one.





To get rid of fractions, you can multiply by the specialized form of one above.





In general though, it is best to first work out the problem before clearing it.
